Sun Damage and Scarring

The main signs of sun damage are skin thinning, hyperpigmentation (age spots) and wrinkling on exposed areas of skin most commonly the face, neck/décolletage, hands, arms and legs. IPL and Skin Peels are often used in these cases along with Skin Booking/Hydration Injections (Vital) on certain areas. We also on occasions recommend Retinoid containing products and other Medical Skincare/Cosmeceuticals.

We may use Dermal Fillers in deeper scars such as that found in chickenpox and acne. The most recent introduction to treatment for scarring and stretch marks is the Dermaroller device. As qualified GPs Dr. Davies and Dr. McKeever can also prescribe silicon gels for scarring and inject raised, unsightly scars with steroids to cause them to shrink.
